June 8, 2008 - The map link has been updated for the next race. Also only handout tires will be allowed during racing.

May 31, 2008 - The location of Race 6 has changed, it will still be hosted by Adrenaline, but will move to a new surface. The track is located off Exit 10 (mango/CR579) on I-4. Take the exit 1.5 miles south and the track is on the left. The host hotel will be the MASTER INN; 6010 CR579 Seffner FL, 813-621-4681 $42.95 a night, When making reservations you have to say RC Raceway to get this price. All rooms are POOL SIDE. The hotel is 1 mile north of the track.

May 21, 2008 - All results and points have been updated to the site. Also, Bill Fraden has submitted another article on the history of RC. Check it out here. Be sure to follow the forums, there are some early discussions about next years changes. Lastly, the manufacture pints have been updated, they are also located here.

May 18, 2008 - Racing finished up today with some familiar names taking wins. Paul Wynn took Pro Mod honors winning 5 out of 6 races. Felix Law made a lst turn pass to take the Expert 10.5 class. Tim Kowal piloted his car to victory lane in Masters and Tony Padilla took home the Nostalgia Class. Rounding out the winners were Robbie Michaels in the Sportsman Novak 13.5 class. The new Jaco wheels and tires worked very well, and many racers felt a newly found appreciation for pre-mounted tires. For the next race the wheels should come pre-mounted.

Race 2

May 15, 2008 - The handout tire for Race 5 will change to the new Jaco Prism wheel. The tires will not be glued and will be sold at a discount of $21.00 per set. Only 2 sets allowed per class. Make sure you have tire glue with you for this race.

April 22, 2008 - All results have been uploaded through Race 4. Also Racer Bill Fraden has contributed an article about his adventures in racing and the history of our sport. Check out the article here. Also if you have anything to say, send me an email and I will post it on the site.

April 20, 2008 - A great day of racing concluded today with some new faces and new winners. Taking the Pro Mod class was Troy Schafer; Rafael Rangulo took first in Expert. Other winners include Dave Franklin in Nostalgia, Felix Law in Sportsman, Greg Pauling in Masters Stock, and finally Stephen Pendergraph in Novice Stock. Visiting from England was Robin Schumacher of Team Schumacher, Robin raced his stick radio controlled Nostalgia car to a second place finish.

April 19, 2008 - The weather and the racing was great today. The first rounds of qualifying have been uploaded to the results section. The photo gallery will now open in a new window so it will be easier to view the photos.

April 3, 2008 - Race 4 in Daytona will not be open for practice on Friday April 18. The gate will open between 5pm and 7pm on Friday for trailer parking, remember there is no overnight camping allowed at the track.

March 15, 2008 - Beginning Race 4, FSEARA will introduce the Rocky Hagan Concours Competition. Sponsored by Phil's Hobbies, the contest will be held at all FSEARA races going forward. Winner will have their choice of a Nostalgia or Touring Car body. All winners will also be featured in our awards section. All entries must be mounted on a RC car. The Awards section has also been updated to show winners at each race for the 2008 season.

March 10, 2008 - Bill Fraden has taken the time to write an article in tribute to Rocky Hagan and Eddie Herrman, it can be read here.

March 9, 2008 - Racing went on today, In tribute to Rocky Hagan, Izzy Santiago drove a lead pace lap with Rocky's car at the start of the A-main. Izzy also ran Rocky's car one last time in the final and placed 5th. Rocky will be missed by all. Other winners of the day include a sweep of the Sportsman and Expert class by Felix Law. Troy Schafer took the nostalgia class with Tim Kowal taking home the win in masters. Chris Tosolini visited the series and took home the victory by way of his best run in the Pro class. The results have been updated and there is a schedule change for race 5. The race will now be run at K-Raceway.

March 8, 2008 - Racing took a back seat today as the FSEARA family lost a racer and friend today. During practice Rocky Hagan collapsed near the drivers stand and passed away a few hours later. Our thoughts go out to Rocky's family.

March 7, 2008 - The results and points have been updated from Race 2. It looks like the weather is going to clear up for Race 3.

February 25, 2008 - The traction was high and the racing was great. Another great turnout for the vintage class with 12 cars running at one time. Overall Tim Potter took the class honors. Tim also used the homefield advantage to take the Touring Pro calss. Other winners include Felix Law in Sportsman, Mike Abraira in expert. Taking the win as a result of qualifying were Tim Kowal in Master and Cheston in 1/12th. Congrats to all of the winners and keep in mind that Race Three is now March 8-9th, only 2 weeks away.

January 27, 2008 - An awards page has been added, Currently the 2007 state champs are listed. Moving your mouse over certain images will now cause a larger photo to be displayed, check out the flyer and the vintage car below. Don't forget FSEARA memberships are available and members receive discounts at some of our host tracks. Click on the documents tab on the left for the forms.

Race 2 January 26, 2008 - Race 2 will be here soon, here is the race flyer. Also as part of the raffle, the host club will be giving away a cruise for two. Hotel information is listed on the flyer, be sure to reserve early to make sure you get a room for the best rate.

January 22, 2008 - Winners for the first race include Lil' B in Sportsman, Dave Bowser running a Corally in Expert. Paul Wynn powered his new TC5 to a Pro Mod victory. In the new Vintage class, Troy Shafer grabbed the victory with his Ford powered Musang and taking the Masters victory driving a MI3 was Tim Kowal. I have added some new videos that were filmed by one of the racers of the Novice and Vintage class, check them out here. FSEARA would like to again thank Jaco for providing providing the spec tire on such short notice.

January 21, 2008 - The series got rolling off to a cold but great start. Thanks to Pete and PNP Hobbies for hosting a great event. The new Trans-Am class was a lot of fun and the racing was fantastic. The banquet went really well and it was great to see so many racers join us there. Congrats to all of the 2007 class winners as well as others who picked up awards. As discussed in the drivers meeting, the next two race dates have changed, take a look at the schedule for the most up to date information. The results and winners will be posted up shortly.

January 11, 2008 - The has been a last minute change for the spec tires we will use in the 2008 season. The tire will be changed from Take_off CS-27 to Jaco Blues. FSEARA would like to thank Schumacher USA for their past support in providing tires and look forward to the new Jaco tires.

January 5, 2008 - The brushless rules have been updated. In summary,

  • Sportsman. 27t Brushed or 13.5 Novak motors only, with a 12.3 mm diameter rotor maximum. < Any speedcontroller may be used
  • Expert. 19t Brushed or 10.5t Brushless. Novak, LRP, Orion motors. Speed Passion is being considered too, and this list may be updated. Bascially same motor rules as the modified BL, but with 10.5t and 13mm rotor maximum < Any Speed Controller may be used
  • Masters. 27t Brushed or 13.5 Brushless with 13mm maximum diameter rotor same as last year....

5December 29, 2007 - The option class will take on a 70's feel as we head into the first race of the year. Alongside the popular Mazda's we are accustomed to seeing, there will be mustangs, Trans-Ams, Cuda's and others racing laps around the track.
